The Greater Boston School of Dance is founded on the idea that dance can be taught at the highest level with love, kindness and passion. We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to train in a discipline that promotes wellness in both the body and the mind.
Kids who dance have more self-confidence, problem-solving skills, musicality and grace. It teaches them that instant gratification is not always a good thing and perfection takes time, patience and perseverance. Kids (and adults) who dance are simply GREATER.
We don't just teach kids to dance, we teach kids to LOVE dance. We want you to be GREATER too!

All of our Natick dance instructors are warm, fun and fully certified to teach dancing at all levels and kids from all over. Whether your focus is all about technique, or you’re just looking for a dance studio to have fun and meet new friends, you can find it here.
The Greater Boston School of Dance was established in 2012 by Artistic Director, Kerrin Michaels in Newton, MA. What began as a small dance studio in the basement of the Post 440, grew with a lot of love and support from GBSD dancers, family and friends. In September 2020, GBSD relocated to 1 H F Brown Way, Natick, MA. Since then we have expanded both our dance and ballet program.
GBSD specializes in bringing out the love of dance and performance in every student. When you walk though our doors and enter our dance studio, you are part of our ever growing dance family!
Students at GBSD have the opportunity to explore different disciplines of dance and are taught by our highly trained staff who specialize in different areas of dance. Be sure to check our staff page and read all about them! Students have the opportunity to perform twice a year in our Winter and Spring Show!
